I offer private instruction for both acoustic and electric bass to students of all ages and levels of proficiency, and has many years of teaching experience. I incorporates studies in harmony (both traditional and jazz), ear training, harmonic ear training, sight-reading, technique, classical studies (for the acoustic player), with an emphasis on jazz improvisation . I Believe in creating a strong foundation in rhythm and groove as well as harmonic knowledge and technical proficiency . My goal as a teacher is to teach you how to teach yourself and give you a strong foundation to begin your musical career (for beginners) or take your playing to the next level both creatively, and technically (for more advanced players).
